Our guest speaker, Demetri Moshoyannis of Folsom Street Events, will share his perspective on our community's successes and challenges, and our chairman Erik Will may have a few surprises for you — but mostly what it's all about is good old-fashioned social time with some of our favorite people, and that means you.

DEMETRI MOSHOYANNIS is serving in his ninth year as Executive Director of Folsom Street Events, working diligently to breathe new creative life into the agency. During his tenure and under the direction of the Board of Directors, the organization has created new areas at the infamous Folsom Street Fair like Venus’ Playground (the leather women’s area), the Erotic Artists’ Area, and has attracted top-name entertainment to the Fair. New events have been created as well, including Bay of Pigs™, the Official Saturday Night Event over Up Your Alley® weekend, the periodic San Francisco Leather Week formal dinner, and DEVIANTS, the Official Closing Party after Folsom Street Fair. The agency operates six major annual leather and fetish events with an operating budget of $1.4 million, promoting San Francisco and FSE all over the world. The organization donates nearly 30% of its operating budget back to direct service charities working in public health, human services, and the arts as well as many leather and fetish organizations. He lives with his partner, their son and their two dogs in the Castro.
