You see them on the street, in the gym, in the dungeon: hot men with hot ink half-glimpsed as they walk by. There must be more tattooed male flesh per square inch in San Francisco's men's leather and kink communities than anywhere but maybe Chino men's prison.
How often have you seen a guy and wondered: What did the artwork mean to him? Where'd the design come from? How far across his chest or up his leg does it stretch? Does it commemorate something or someone, or what exactly made it important enough to have it inked permanently onto his body?
By your request at last month's town hall meeting, this month we present TATTOO TALES, a show and tell invitation: come show us your tatts, tell us what they mean and why they matter to you, then watch, listen and ask questions as other men peel off shirts and pants and whatever it takes to show you theirs.
